Join published author Phil Halton for Memoir in Miniature, a welcoming, beginner-friendly workshop designed to help you bring your personal stories to life. Through a combination of engaging lectures, guided writing exercises, and supportive group feedback, participants will explore the art of writing short, impactful memoirs.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have written, refined, and polished a personal narrative of approximately 1,000 words that captures a meaningful life moment with depth and clarity.

Phil Halton
Phil Halton is a novelist and non-fiction writer whose work explores themes of conflict, identity, and history. A military veteran and former security consultant, he draws on experiences in complex and turbulent places to examine how people create clarity from chaos. He is the author of three novels and three works of non-fiction, including "Postslop: How Junk Culture Hollowed Us Out—And How to Get Real Again". Now based in Saint John, he continues to write while pursuing a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Gloucestershire.
