Pottery on the Wheel: Intermediate (Thur. Jan. 2026)

Take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level in this 6 week hands-on intermediate pottery class led by renowned ceramist Jen Baird. Designed for students with prior experience in wheel throwing, this course focuses on refining techniques and developing personal style.

Through project-based learning, guided instruction, and personalized feedback, participants will deepen their understanding of pottery making. Jennifer’s guidance and artistic insight will help you push creative boundaries while mastering the technical aspects of wheel-thrown ceramics.

Prerequisite: Completion of minimum two pottery classes, ability to centre and throw cylindrical forms.

    Jennifer Baird

    Jennifer Baird is a New Brunswick based teacher, potter, and multi-media artist. Her paintings and work in clay feature soft lines and organic forms inspired by the colours and topography of the wild maritime coastlines of home and away. A graduate of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, Jennifer holds bachelor’s and graduate degrees in education and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. Jennifer is looking forward to sharing the creative processes and techniques involved in crafting handmade pottery.
