Pottery on the Wheel Level 2 (Thurs. Sept. 2025)

By popular demand, we are introducing a new course for those looking to continue the momentum in their ceramics journey! The Pottery on the Wheel: Level 2 workshop is open to those who have completed a minimum of two pottery workshops in the past or an equivalent amount of training (36 hours.) Must be comfortable with centering and throwing cylinders. This 6 week program will provide 18 hours of instruction time with renowned ceramicist, Jen Baird, to build on your previous learning.

Participants have the option of purchasing a 25-pound sleeve of clay ($35) from the arts centre in advance, at the time of the workshop with the option to buy more if desired, or bring their own. If bringing your own clay, please contact SJAC before the workshop to confirm that it is safe for our kiln.

Registration fee: $365

    Jennifer Baird

    Jennifer Baird is a New Brunswick based teacher, potter, and multi-media artist. Her paintings and work in clay feature soft lines and organic forms inspired by the colours and topography of the wild maritime coastlines of home and away. A graduate of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, Jennifer holds bachelor’s and graduate degrees in education and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. Jennifer is looking forward to sharing the creative processes and techniques involved in crafting handmade pottery.
