An intimate evening of music and storytelling with violinist and composer Olena Kolibaba. Combining elements of neo-classical and cinematic music with live loop pedals, Olena creates layered, atmospheric compositions inspired by nature, folklore, and cultural heritage. Get your tickets HERE
October 16th 5:00-7:00pm - Dia de los Muertos Opening Reception Where Memory Lives / Le Jour des Morts
Join us for the opening of this special group exhibition celebrating memory, life, love, and the people and stories that continue to live within us.
Featuring the work of David Chavez Andrade, Mitl Gaxiola, Sarah Gaxiola, Isabelle Lafargue, Fabiola Martinez, Evelin Mariela Valle Correa, and Marie-Hélène Morell, the exhibition brings together diverse artistic perspectives inspired by Día de los Muertos and the meaning of remembrance.
Come celebrate with us, meet the artists, and experience an exhibition where memory becomes art and stories continue to live.

This isn’t a concert. It’s a piano séance in two acts. Bob Wiseman and Mike Boguski, two of Canada’s most unpredictable keyboard minds are taking
turns dismantling and reimagining what a solo piano set can be. One piano. Two artists. Zero cowboy hats.

BOB WISEMAN Founding member of Blue Rodeo. Punk pianist. Lo-fi provocateur. Think Monk meets Burroughs at a Toronto dive bar. Expect sound collage, biting satire, sonic left turns. Nothing’s off limits.
MIKE BOGUSKI Current Blue Rodeo pianist. Ambient soul explorer. A master of restraint and reverie. Piano as landscape. Melody as memory. Quiet storms and cinematic swells. Musical cliff jumping.

Every Thursday 9:00am - 12:pm - The Carnegie Colours
The Carnegie colours are a group of amateur/professional artists who meet from September - May. There is no structured format: Each artist paints in their own medium, from their own images, supplies their own materials, and each is responsible to pay the Art Centre a weekly nominal fee to cover the room rental and other services which the Art Centre may provide. Chase The Ace Draws Every Thursday 8:00 pm - At the Market Square Atrium
The Saint John Arts Centre has partnered with the 2 other regional facilities The Imperial Theatre and the Canada Games Aquatic Centre to help raise funds to support our missions. Tickets are $5.00 for one, $10.00 for 3, or $20.00 for 7. You can purchase tickets at any of the 3 facilities or E-transfer: chase@aquatics.nb.ca. REQUIRED: Include your name and phone number in the e-transfer message. Advance ticket sales and e-transfers close Thursdays at 11:00am. In person sales can be made at the Market Square Atrium between 6:45pm – 7:30pm (Cash Sales Only).
What’s in the Box?
Support the Arts Centre at our annual fundraiser!
Each spring we look forward to hosting our annual “What’s in the Box?” fundraiser! Join us for an entertaining evening of delicious food, fine drink and an opportunity to support local artists. Funds from this event go towards our Artist’s Rights Fees program to support the artists who exhibit their work in the Saint John Arts Centre galleries.
During the event, you may have the chance to purchase a ‘mystery box’ containing a piece of original art. Each mystery artwork is generously donated by local professional artists. The demand for boxes is high, so attendees can choose to enter the draw for a chance to purchase a mystery box. Don’t fret if your ballot isn’t drawn - you can also support the artists directly by purchasing their work on display during the event.
