Born approx. 1910. Grand Falls, New Brunswick
Died Dec 22, 2003. Fredericton, New Brunswick

Joe was a veteran of World War II and served with 162nd squadron R. C. A. F.
After the war, he returned to New Brunswick and started a successful commercial photography company and for many years held a studio on Waterloo St. in Saint John (See image attached of this storefront). There are mentions of awards that Joe won as a photographer but no details as to which ones. While married to Margaret J. (White) until his passing, they did not have any children. Research is being done to develop a more thorough biography.

Francis (Frank) J. James

Frank is in the process of digitizing the James Collection which began with his grandfather John (Jack) W. James [d.1981] and was added to by his father Paul M. James [d. 2021]. Frank has a background of data organization and demographic research, and has been an amateur digital editor for over 25 years. Frank is driven to digitize the thousands of images which are part of the James Collection and has chosen to focus on the Michaud works as the centrepiece of his collection. Outside of his curator’s duties Frank is a professional musician, part time server and bartender, a founding member of Service Staff SJ and the president of St. Malachy’s Memorial High School Alumni Association.
