Description
A one-day workshop where participants will learn the basic steps of producing a 5” x 7” copper plate etching. This hands-on workshop will teach students how to: prepare an etching plate (bevelling, degreasing, adhering a backing), apply a hard ground, transfer an image onto the plate, draw on the plate using an etching needle, etch the plate in acid, ink the plate and print using the press.

Supplies: Participants are asked to bring a simple, traceable 5 x 7” image they want to work with. This can be a drawing or a photo. All of other necessary tools and supplies are provided.
