Draw Your Pet! (Sept. 2025)

Perfect for artists of any stage, in this workshop you will learn more about drawing your favorite animal companion. We will cover topics that range from choosing a composition to how to create the 'cute factor'.

This is a full day workshop, open to any skill level. It will include some general instruction about specific topics as well as one-on-one guidance with your individual projects.

To bring for materials:

Bring any drawing materials that you prefer to use (paper, pencil, pen, charcoal, eraser, etc). I will bring an assortment myself to share in case someone arrives without materials.

Also bring a couple good quality photos of a pet to choose from, preferably printed.

These photos should be in focus, clear, the animal should be large enough in the frame to see details, and it should have good lighting. (These are especially important with pets that have a lot of textures in their fur or a very dark coat). Remember that all the information you have is from the photos, and it can really affect the quality of the work in the end.
