Studio Rentals

The Saint John Arts Centre is pleased to offer the rental of our professional studios to experienced potters and printmakers. Studios are available to rent during business hours, Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-5pm.

The Ceramics Studio

  • Features: 6 pottery wheels, a slab roller, an extruder, and a variety of tools.
  • Access to clay, glazes, and our electronic kiln is available for an additional cost.

  • Hourly rate: $7.50 / hour (members), $10.00 / hour (non-members)

  • Individual Kiln Firing: $100

  • Group Kiln Firing: $2.50 per piece (bisque) / $3.00 per piece (glaze)

  • Clay: $35 / 10kg sleeve

Renters are responsible for the proper cleaning of their workspace, tools, and bats. Dirty towels and aprons are to be left in the hamper next to the studio door. 

Renter pieces must be removed from the bats before storing. Renter work is to be labeled and stored on the RENTER warecarts in the glazing room. We have limited space and cannot guarantee that any work left beyond 60 days will be kept.

The Peter Buckley and Kelly Patterson Printmaking Studio

  • Features: Intaglio press, graphic arts UV darkroom, silkscreen printing stations and spray booth, and a variety of tools.

  • Paper and inks available for an additional cost.

  • Hourly rate: $7.50 / hour (members), $10.00 / hour (non-members)
