• SJAC's annual fundraiser is back to answer the burning question, ‘What’s in the Box?’!

    Why support this fundraiser?

What’s in the Box? is the Saint John Arts Centre’s primary fundraiser of the year, the funds raised through this event play a vital role in sustaining our work. When you support this fundraiser, you’re investing in local artists, youth programs, and a creative space in Saint John. Proceeds from this fundraiser directly support our mission including exhibition payments for the artists who share their works in the galleries of SJAC. By purchasing a ticket you will get to enjoy a cocktail reception at SJAC with a complimentary bar and delicious food prepared by one of our fine local caterers.  What actually *is* in the box? By attending you will have the opportunity to fill out a ballot (or more than one) for a chance to purchase a 'mystery box' containing an original artwork. Each work has been generously donated by one of over 50 local professional artists. Please note that the ballot/chance to be drawn is not part of the event ticket price and is entirely optional. Attendees who choose to take part in the draw commit to buying one of the 'mystery boxes' of art for $125 if their ballot is drawn.

When is 'What's in the Box?'

Join us Thursday, April 16th, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, for an entertaining evening to support your local community arts centre. (A $60 tax receipt can be issued for each $100 ticket).

If you are purchasing a ticket for someone else please leave their name in the note section that appears when you proceed to check out. Online ticket holders can check in at the door - no physical ticket required.
  • Thank you for your 'Choose Your Own Amount' Membership! Your official tax receipt will be sent to you via mail.

Memberships are automatically renewed on an annual schedule.

Please note that Memberships are automatically renewed once per calendar year for the same amount. For example, a Choose Your Own Amount Member who purchased a $100 Membership on Oct. 10, 2020, would be billed automatically for $100 on Oct. 10, 2021, and each year after. Members can cancel or modify their Membership at any time through 'My Account', found at the bottom of our website under 'Browse'.
  • Like all not-for-profit community organizations, SJAC faces financial challenges, but we understand that our entire community faces those same challenges. Folks have been reaching out to ask how they can help, but perhaps aren't in a position to sign up for a renewable membership, so we have a new way to donate where you can set your own, one-time amount. Every donation adds up to help us keep our galleries free to the public and our programs running -- thank you for your support!
